For Buyers
Q: Is Insitco free for buyers?
A: Yes — registration, browsing, RFQ submission and quote comparison are completely free for all buyers. Insitco only charges a small transaction fee on completed orders which is deducted from the manufacturer's payment, not from the buyer.
Q: How do I know a manufacturer is genuine?
A: Every manufacturer on Insitco carries the Verified badge — meaning our team has independently confirmed their UAE trade license, reviewed their factory photos, verified their certifications and confirmed their contact details. You can see the full verification status on every manufacturer profile before sending an RFQ.
Q: How does the escrow payment work?
A: When you accept a quote and place an order, you deposit the full order value into Insitco's secure escrow account. The manufacturer cannot access these funds until you confirm delivery and quality. If there is a dispute, funds remain held while our mediation team resolves the issue within 5 business days.
Q: What happens if the goods do not match the specifications?
A: You have 48 hours after delivery to raise a formal dispute through the platform. You submit photographic evidence and a description of the issue. Our mediation team reviews evidence from both parties and issues a binding resolution within 5 business days. You may receive a partial or full refund depending on the outcome.
Q: Can I source products from manufacturers in any UAE emirate?
A: Yes — Insitco lists verified manufacturers from all seven UAE emirates including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Ajman, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain. You can filter by emirate in the search system.
Q: How long does it take to receive quotes after submitting an RFQ?
A: Manufacturers are required to respond based on their subscription tier — Basic manufacturers within 72 hours, Standard within 48 hours, and Premium within 24 hours. Most RFQs on the platform receive the first quote within hours of submission.
For Manufacturers
Q: How long does the verification process take?
A: Our team completes manufacturer verification within 48 hours of receiving all required documents — UAE trade license, factory photos (minimum 5), certifications and bank account details. Incomplete applications are returned with a request for the missing documents.
Q: What documents do I need to get verified?
A: You need: a current UAE trade license, minimum 5 factory photos including exterior and production floor, any relevant certifications (ISO, Halal, CE etc.), and UAE bank account details for escrow payment receipt. All documents are reviewed confidentially and never shared publicly.
Q: Can I list products in multiple categories?
A: Yes — you can list products across multiple categories. Your primary category is selected during registration and defines your main search ranking position. Additional categories can be added to your product catalog at any time.
Q: When do I receive payment for completed orders?
A: Payment is released from escrow within 24 hours of the buyer confirming delivery and quality acceptance. If the buyer does not respond within 48 hours of confirmed delivery, escrow funds are automatically released to you. For disputed orders, funds are held until resolution.
Q: Can I cancel my subscription?
A: Yes — you can cancel your subscription at any time from your billing settings. Your profile remains active until the end of your current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial months. You can re-subscribe at any time.
Q: What is the transaction fee and when is it charged?
A: Transaction fees are 2.5% for Basic, 2.0% for Standard and 1.5% for Premium subscribers. The fee is automatically deducted from your escrow release when an order is completed. You never pay the fee upfront — it is only charged on successful transactions.
